Hardee County is excited to bring back Christmas Card Lane for the 2026 holiday season. After a successful first year, we are expanding participation and inviting local businesses and organizations to help spread holiday cheer throughout the community.
Participants will create and display an oversized holiday card at Hardee Lakes Park. This family-friendly exhibit will be open to the public during the holiday season and will highlight the creativity, spirit, and community pride of Hardee County.
Important Dates
Registration Deadline:
Thursday, October 1, 2026
Card Delivery & Setup:
Sunday, November 1 – Sunday, November 15, 2026
Exhibit Dates:
Saturday, November 21, 2026 – Sunday, January 4, 2027
Card Removal Deadline:
All card displays must be collected no later than Thursday, January 7, 2027, by 4:00 PM.
Display Guidelines
Each participating business or organization is responsible for creating, constructing, painting, delivering, setting up, maintaining, and removing its own holiday card display.
Cards must include a Christmas message and/or an appropriate holiday theme.
Advertising is not permitted. The card may include the name or signature of one participating business or organization only.
Card Size Requirements:
Minimum size: 4’ x 8’
Maximum size: 8’ x 8’
Cards may be designed in any shape or layout variation within these dimensions.
Lighting Requirements
Lighting is a very important part of Christmas Card Lane. Displays should be designed to shine bright and remain visible during evening hours.
Lighting must be battery-powered or solar-powered only.
No electrical plug-ins will be available.
Participants are responsible for providing adequate lighting, including spotlights, decorative lights, batteries, solar equipment, and any needed replacements throughout the exhibit period.
Installation Requirements
Cards must be securely anchored and able to stand upright on their own.
Participants are responsible for their own setup, lighting, maintenance, and removal.
Displays should be weather-appropriate and able to remain in place for the full exhibit period.
