NOTICE OF HEARING TO IMPOSE SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS

Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Hardee County, Florida, will conduct a final public hearing to continue the imposition of annual fire rescue special assessments for the provision of fire rescue services within the unincorporated area of Hardee County and within the municipalities of Wauchula, Zolfo Springs, and Bowling Green.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Hardee County, Florida, will conduct a final public hearing to continue the imposition of annual solid waste collection and disposal special assessments for the provision of solid waste collection and disposal services within the unincorporated area of Hardee County.

The hearing will be held at 5:05 p.m., or as soon thereafter as it may be heard, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in the Board Chambers located at 412 West Orange Street in Wauchula, Florida.  All affected property owners have a right to appear at the hearing.  To view the proposed assessments, click here.
